Stellar Outpaces Ethereum in Daily Tokenized Fund Inflows

StellarXLM+1.19% Takes the Lead in Institutional Inflows
Stellar (XLM) recently took the top spot globally for daily institutional capital inflows into tokenized investment funds, moving ahead of EthereumETH+2.96%.
Data from analytics platforms RWA.xyz and Token Terminal shows Stellar-based investment funds recorded $17.1 million in net inflows over a 24-hour period. Ethereum placed second with $16.0 million, while Polygon ranked third with $5.9 million.
This increase represents a fourfold expansion of Stellar's Real-World Asset (RWA) footprint since late last year. Total RWA value on the network grew by 360% to reach a record range between $3.5 billion and $4 billion.
As a result, Stellar has climbed to third place in global blockchain rankings for total assets under management (AUM), positioned behind Ethereum and BNBBNB+1.10% Chain.
Where Is the Institutional Capital Coming From?
The rapid expansion across Stellar's ecosystem is driven by major regulated financial funds operating across three key global jurisdictions:
- France: The Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund (EUR), a government bond fund carrying $1.29 billion in assets under the European Union's UCITS regulatory framework.
- United States: Franklin Templeton's BENJI government money market fund holds $521.1 million, while the OndoONDO+7.45% U.S. Dollar Yield (USDY) fund holds $537.1 million under SEC oversight.
- Luxembourg: The Yuleba Bond 2030 corporate credit tool represents $500 million in assets.
Circle's USDC stablecoin serves as the primary settlement engine on Stellar, holding $367.7 million on the chain. Fully compliant with Europe's MiCA regulations, USDC on Stellar achieved 707,248 active addresses in the RWA sector, generating $10.72 billion in monthly transfer volume.
Expansion Plans Scheduled for 2027
Looking ahead, Stellar is preparing for further institutional infrastructure updates scheduled for the first half of 2027.
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) in the United States has confirmed plans to link its tokenization service to Stellar. This initiative aims to bring Russell 1000 stocks and major exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on-chain.
At the same time, institutional platform Tradable is preparing to integrate up to $1 billion in private credit assets directly onto the network.
Stellar vs. XRP Ledger: Two Divergent Specializations
Stellar's activity in regulated funds highlights a clear divergence from its historical counterpart, the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Both networks share origins tied to co-founder Jed McCaleb, but they have developed distinct market focuses.
While Stellar focuses on traditional banking capital and debt instruments, XRPL has taken a strong position in physical commodities and industrial assets.
For example, RippleXRP+2.58%'s ecosystem centers around Justoken's JMWH energy contracts valued at $2.22 billion, alongside Latin American corporate debt pools managed by VERT Capital. Settlement across XRPL's hub is supported by Ripple USD (RLUSD), a regulated stablecoin with a $1.16 billion market capitalization.
These recent fund inflows solidify Stellar's role in regulated public investment products, while XRPL continues targeting energy and industrial supply chains.
Past performance of digital assets or historical fund metrics do not guarantee future performance. Investors should remain mindful of market volatility and regulatory changes.
