IPX Raises $4M at $125M Valuation for IP Platform

IPX Raises $4M Seed Round at a $125M Valuation
Intellectual property platform IPX has officially closed a $4 million seed funding round. The investment values the company at $125 million.
Bitsurge Holdings led the funding round alongside YICIPX Holdings Family Office. A group of strategic investors also joined the round to support the project's development.
The platform is preparing for its official launch on November 15, 2026. It is built on Base, the Layer 2 blockchain network developed by Coinbase.
What Is IPX and How Does It Work?
IPX serves as an operating system for creative intellectual property (IP). It combines artificial intelligence, traditional financial tools, and blockchain technology into one platform.
In simple terms, IPX allows creators to turn their creative work into digital tokens. These creations can range from movies and video games to digital membership passes.
The platform provides four core tools designed to help creators build independent businesses:
- Tokenized Launchpad: A portal where creators issue custom tokens for their projects.
- IPX Exchange: A marketplace where fans can buy, sell, trade, and stake project tokens.
- Agentic Operating System: An AI-driven system that helps manage production, distribution, and advertising.
- Financial Infrastructure: Banking capabilities that connect traditional money with on-chain networks.
Over 100 Celebrities Signed Ahead of Launch
More than 100 celebrities have already signed exclusive agreements to tokenize original IP on the platform.
The roster of creators includes athletes, actors, artists, producers, and independent rights holders.
When the platform launches, users will have access to three main types of Day 1 project tokens:
- Hollywood Films & TV Series: Tokenized entertainment projects, including legacy titles and new releases.
- Athlete Video Games: Custom gaming experiences backed by top professional athletes.
- YouTube Creator Tokens: Membership tokens that give fans exclusive connections to digital creators.
Understanding the $IPX Token Ecosystem
The platform operates around its native utility token, known as $IPX.
Every project token launched on the platform is paired directly with $IPX on the exchange.
Fans can trade or stake project tokens at any time on the IPX Exchange. However, users should keep in mind that token values can fluctuate based on broader market dynamics.
To support the token ecosystem, revenue generated across the platform funds $IPX token buybacks. These revenue sources include:
- Platform trading and network transaction fees
- Direct IP revenue and commercial royalties
- Sponsorship commissions and monthly user subscription fees
- Earnings from off-platform subsidiary operations
Connecting Traditional Banking to Blockchain
Connecting real-world revenue with blockchain networks can often be complicated. IPX addresses this by integrating traditional banking infrastructure.
The platform offers globally accessible, non-custodial virtual checking accounts. These accounts handle large fiat payment flows, making it easier to convert fiat money to digital assets.
In addition, legal contracts and platform terms mandate that project earnings flow back into the system, connecting off-chain earnings to on-chain participation.
A New Ownership Model for Creators and Fans
Historically, creators often give up ownership of their rights to get funding from major production studios. IPX aims to offer an alternative model.
"We’re building a new covenant for IP: creators keep ownership, fans unlock funding and earn a share in the upside. IPX is the operating system that makes it happen with seamless traditional finance to tokenization rails, enabling transparency fueling rewards all without taking ownership from the people who create it. Hollywood, gaming and YouTube Membership Tokens are day one. Creators build culture. Fans make it matter. They should hold the power," said Brendan McCafferty, founder and CEO of IPX.
McCafferty added that creators should not need to sell their intellectual property just to fund future work, while fans should be able to participate in the growth of projects they support.
Roadmap and Future Updates
Headquartered in Miami, Florida, IPX plans to publish regular updates leading up to its November 15 release.
The team plans to share weekly updates to introduce new technology features, strategic partners, and initial original projects.
