GateHub and Dinaro Launch EURGH Euro Stablecoin on XRPL

Bridging the XRPXRP-6.43% Ledger with Traditional European Banking
The XRP Ledger ecosystem has taken another key step toward connecting public blockchains with traditional finance. Financial platform GateHub has officially partnered with Slovenian financial services company Dinaro to launch a new euro-pegged stablecoin called GateHub Euro (EURGH).
This new digital asset is built to bridge the gap between digital wallets and traditional European bank accounts. By linking directly to existing payment rails, it allows individuals and businesses to transfer funds far more smoothly across borders.
What Is GateHub Euro (EURGH)?
GateHub Euro (EURGH) is a stablecoin designed to maintain a fixed value of exactly one euro (€1). Under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, EURGH is officially classified as an Electronic Money Token (EMT).
The token is issued directly by Dinaro, an authorized Electronic Money Institution regulated by the Bank of Slovenia. Here is a breakdown of how the token functions behind the scenes:
- 1:1 Reserve Backing: Dinaro issues EURGH on a strict 1:1 basis whenever it receives incoming euro funds.
- Direct Redemption: Token holders can redeem EURGH back into standard euros at face value, subject to standard identity checks and compliance procedures.
- Dual Blockchain Support: EURGH operates on both the primary XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Xahau, a specialized sidechain in the XRPL ecosystem that offers smart contract features.
Instant Transfers via SEPA Integration
A major highlight of the EURGH launch is its direct integration with the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) network.
Through this integration, GateHub wallet users can make instant euro payments directly between their XRPL or Xahau digital wallets and traditional European bank accounts. Transactions can take just seconds to finalize, providing a fast bridge between crypto assets and traditional bank accounts.
This setup gives users a streamlined alternative to traditional centralized exchanges when converting digital assets back into fiat currency.
The Growing Euro Stablecoin Market
While EURGH brings exciting utility to the XRP Ledger community, it joins a growing selection of regulated euro-backed tokens across the crypto market.
Several prominent euro stablecoins are already active across different blockchain ecosystems:
- EURØP: A MiCA-compliant euro stablecoin issued by Schuman Financial.
- EURC: Issued by Circle, this multi-chain euro stablecoin is widely used for payments and trading.
- EUR CoinVertible (EURCV): Created by Société Générale-FORGE, the digital asset unit of French banking group Société Générale.
Broader Crypto Market Context
The arrival of EURGH occurs alongside notable developments across the wider digital asset landscape. Around the time of the announcement, the broader market experienced a pullback of roughly $140 billion as BitcoinBTC-5.31% temporarily dipped below the $76,000 level.
In addition, institutional asset tokenization continues to expand on competing networks. For instance, asset manager Franklin Templeton has grown its tokenized fund assets on the StellarXLM-7.79% blockchain past $1.1 billion, outpacing total tokenized fund volume currently on the XRP Ledger.
Past performance of digital assets or financial institutions is no guarantee of future results. Market conditions and digital asset values remain subject to volatility.
